A one vehicle accident caused injuries to Carolyn McMillan, Christina Latendress and her three year old son when the driver, Carolyn McMillan, who was driving a white four-door Plymouth west on Ludlow Road lost control, overturned, skidded through a ditch, hit a stump and then caught on fire. The occupants were trapped inside of the vehicle. A first responder arrived and knocked a window out and cut the baby's seat belt off of the car seat and got the baby to safety, but could not get the driver out. The fire was getting bigger and two other passersby got the driver out. Two victims were transported by air to the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
Christina Latendress and her son can make a claim against the driver's insurance company for loosing control of her vehicle;they also can make a claim under the medical pay provisions of the same policy. Also, they can make a claim against their own insurance company for underinsured motorist benefits and medical pay benefits.
