Denial Of Your Claim By The Insurance Company In Mississippi

Insurance Denial of Claim

Each day dozens of people in Mississippi suffer severe personal injuries. Those injuries can include brain injury, back injury, neck injury, injuries to hands or feet, injuries to the face, internal injuries, injuries to the hips or knees, or similar injuries.

If you or a loved one has been injured because of someone else's negligence, Mississippi law states that you have the right to recover money damages for your injuries. If the insurance company denies your claim, call Paul Snow to discuss whether or not you have a case. Remember, both parties can be at fault and you still may recover damages for your injuries.

You have a right to recover damages for your past lost wages, future lost wages, past medical bills, future medical bills, car damage, and any other related expenses. In addition, the law states that you are entitled to money damages for pain and suffering you have experienced in the past and will experience in the future.

Every successful claim for personal injuries has three parts:

• You suffered injury

• Someone else may be partly at fault

• There is insurance money to pay for it

I have been representing injured clients for over 34 years. If you have suffered a serious personal injury, you should call my office. There is never a charge for discussing your case. If we take your case, there is no fee until we win.

In Mississippi, the law imposes a statute of limitations which sets the maximum amount of time that legal proceedings can occur after the date of the accident. Each year at my law office, people call me to ask me for help that have legitimate cases, only to find out that their time limit has run out. It is one of the most difficult things for me to tell them that I cannot help them because they waited too long to call me.

I have been a personal injury lawyer for over 34 years. Please call Paul Snow at 601-969-1977 or 1-800-640-4478 or contact us online, for help and advice if you or someone you know has suffered an injury. I am here to help.

DRUNK DRIVING ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES IN MISSISSIPPI

Drunk drivers cause tragic accidents resulting in serious personal injury and, in more severe accidents, death. Mississippi drunk driving law allows financial compensation for victims and punishes intoxicated motorists and alcohol providers who served them, including bars, package liquor stores, and grocery stores.

These special laws allow for recovery of punitive damages against the alcohol provider. Punitive damages may be awarded, in addition to compensatory damages (compensatory damages include medical expenses, lost earnings and damages for pain and suffering and other losses).

Mississippi accident lawyer Paul Snow has the resources and experience to make alcohol providers and their insurance companies pay for the damages that they cause. In fact, Paul Snow has obtained a structured settlement for $4,500,000 for two high school students who were injured by a minor who bought alcohol from Kroger and Super D in Jackson, Mississippi.

If you have been injured or had a loved one killed as the result of a drunk driver, contact Paul Snow to insure that your rights are protected. Call us at 601-969-1977 or 1-800-640-4478 or contact us online to discuss your legal rights FREE of charge.

Templin was stationed at Kessler Air Force base at the time in Biloxi, MS. The accident caused by the drunk driver resulted in Sgt. Templin's death. The drunk driver was sentenced to 20 years in prison.75579_drunk_driving.jpg

The family of Sgt. Templin can make a claim against the driver's insurance company, but they also may be able to make a claim against the bar or store that sold the alcohol to the drunk driver. This is called liquor liability and is often overlooked by most people and some attorneys.

The family would have to prove that the driver was visibly intoxicated when the bar or store sold the alcohol to the driver. If the family can prove this evidence through witnesses or credit card receipts or any other kind of evidence, then a claim can be made. Four Car Crash In Vicksburg, MS Causes Personal Injuries

A four car accident caused multiple personal injuries to Quinshayla Powell, a passenger in the vehicle driven by Callie Brown. Brown was headed east on Hwy. 61 when she ran a red light and collided with a Dodge Ram driven by Shondrick Tucker of Rolling Fork; Brown's vehicle then hit a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Billy Brown;then Tucker's vehicle was hit by a Ford Expedition driven by Patricia Adcock. Ms. Powell was taken to University Medical Center in Jackson, MS for treatment of her injuries.

WHO CAN SUE WHOM AND WHY? The driver of the vehicle who ran the red light can be sued by anyone injured in the accident or subsequent accidents. If there is not enough insurance to go around, then Ms. Powell can make a claim against her own insurance company for underinsured motorist benefits. She can stack or add the number of vehicles on her policy to recover full damages. For example, if the at fault driver only had $25,000 of liability insurance coverage, and Ms. Powell had $50,000 of uninsured coverage with 3 vehicles on the policy, then Ms. Powell could make a claim for a total of $175,000, but the insurance company would get a credit for any money that she received from other sources.

If you know of someone who has been involved in a multi-car accident and have some questions, call Paul Snow at 601-969-1977 to discuss your legal rights or contact us online.. A one vehicle accident caused injuries to Carolyn McMillan, Christina Latendress and her three year old son when the driver, Carolyn McMillan, who was driving a white four-door Plymouth west on Ludlow Road lost control, overturned, skidded through a ditch, hit a stump and then caught on fire. The occupants were trapped inside of the vehicle. 18 Wheeler Causes Accident In Madison, MS

An 18 wheeler traveling north on I-55 crossed the median and struck a car traveling south on I-55 sending the driver, Crystal Emery to the hospital. Ms. Emery had to be extricated from her vehicle and transported to University Medical Center where she remained in critical condition.18 wheeler.jpg

Ms. Emery can make a claim against the 18 wheeler company for causing this accident. A lot of times these truck drivers work too many hours on the road and fall asleep or drive fatigued which contributes to accidents. If you compare the truck drivers log book to the number of hours that he/she is supposed to work and/or rest, then you can usually determine if they falsified they log books.

We have handled numerous cases where the truck driver falsified his log book in order to make more money by traveling more miles on the highway. This is a known, but tolerated practice by the companies who employ the truck drivers. If the attorney can get proof on the company that they had a practice of letting their truck drivers drive over the limit, then a claim could be made out for punitive damages against the trucking company. Here is a good example of what I am talking about. This 18 wheeler driver lost control of his tractor-trailer rig carrying a load of bananas.bananas.jpg

If you know of someone who was injured or killed in an 18 wheeler accident and have some questions about the case, call Paul Snow to discuss your legal rights FREE. To find out if you have a case, call 601-969-1977 or contact us online. Jackson, MS Mechanic Killed In Accident At Work

Hyreese Loftin was killed in an accident on the job at a local truck stop. Mr. Loftin was working on an 18 wheeler when some compression equipment exploded and hit him in the head. Mr. Loftin died of head injuries within an hour at University Medical Center.

Since Mr. Loftin was on the job when the accident happened, then the family can make a claim for worker's compensation benefits against his employer's insurance company;but, those benefits are severely limited. A claim can also be made against the manufacturer of the equipment that caused the accident. IF a recovery is made against the equipment maker, then the worker's compensation insurance company will get their money back that was paid out to the family.

In my practice I have seen a number of accidents with these big tire machines that blow up and cause head injuries and death to the worker. If you know of a worker who has been injured or killed working on 18 wheelers, call Mississippi Accident Lawyer Paul Snow to discuss your legal rights FREE of charge. Call 601-969-1977 to find out if you have a case or contact us online. We represent clients all over MS including Jackson, Tupelo, Southaven, Vicksburg, and Pascagoula.

Two Tougaloo Students Killed In Head-On Accident In Jackson, MS

Kiara Taylor and Shanna Whitt, of Greenville, MS were both killed in an accident at North State Street near College Drive in Jackson, MS. They were cheerleaders at the Tougaloo college. Another cheerleader in the car was taken to a local hospital along with the driver of the SUV that was hit head-on. Supposedly, a black SUV contributed to the accident and caused the car to travel into the wrong lane and hit the red SUV.tug.jpg

WHO CAN MAKE A CLAIM AGAINST WHOM AND WHY?
Anyone hurt or killed in the accident may be able to make a claim against the driver of the red car for failure to keep proper control of the vehicle. It appears that a black SUV may be involved, but if this person is not ever found and their vehicles never made contact with the red car, then no claim can be made against this driver. On the other hand, if the black SUV and the red car had actual physical contact, then claims can be made under the uninsured motorist provisions of the red car's policy and any policy owned by the victim's families.

If you know of someone who was involved in an accident with a hit-and-run driver or what is sometimes referred to as a "phantom vehicle" and have some questions, call Paul Snow at 601-969-1977 or contact us online. We represent clients all over MS including Jackson, Gulfport, Biloxi, Hattiesburg, and Greenville in car accidents, truck accidents, uninsured motorist cases, 18 wheeler accidents, drunk driving accidents and accidents involving defective products.
